,,,proud of herself

Let's see, after 1 1/2 years I finally made my candidate black belt. I think about when I first started martial arts. I've always been physically fit but this was a whole new challenge because it's so mental! Well, I guess pushing your body past it's limits is always mental but martial arts is a different mental challenge. I originally started taking it so I could spend more time with my nephew but now it's a major goal for me.

One of our student creeds "winners never quit" and then saying "yes I can' every time we bow adds positive energy every class. Even when I get down about my business and things get hard, I believe my martial arts training has really helped me to keep going and persevere.

So I am now a candidate black belt... I am "eligible" to some day test for my official black belt. I will be able to test for an apprentice black in December but it will be another 2+ years before I get my decided! But I will do it!!
